Frank T. Pinto | Owner

Frank’s career includes 25 years working in the public sector for the County of Morris where he managed a variety of planning and social service programs. As the Director of the Morris County Agriculture Development Board for over ten years. Frank managed to complete one hundred farmland transactions totaling over 6,100 acres and over $127 million in easement value. Frank oversaw the county’s Preservation Trust Fund seeing it hit the 20,000 preserved acres plateau. Frank has served on several non-profit boards as well as one term on the Chester Borough Council. He graduated from Old Dominion University with a B.S. in Geography and received his Masters degree in Public Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Bob Canace

Bob is the former long-time President of the Ridge and Valley Conservancy, a land trust in northwestern New Jersey, and has worked with Conservation Resources (a non-profit that supports environmental groups), the Land Conservancy of New Jersey (a land trust that assists communities with land preservation), and The Heritage Conservancy of Doylestown, Pennsylvania (which protects land and culturally important sites). He also serves as the Program Officer for Land Conservation for the Peter and Carmen Lucia Buck Foundation, which provides support to land conservation organizations in the Hudson River Valley of New York and in Connecticut. Bob is a hydrogeologist with over 30 years professional experience, having served as section chief in the Water Resources program within the New Jersey Geological Survey. Bob lives on a horse farm in northwestern, New Jersey with his wife Cindy and an assortment of horses, dogs and cats.

Tara Kenyon

Tara Kenyon is a Professional Planner providing consulting services to private and public clients, such as agricultural preservation, guidance through the New Jersey Right-to-Farm Act, land development projects, natural resources conservation, and land use applications before municipal Planning Boards and Zoning Boards of Adjustment. Tara holds her BS degree from Rutgers University. Tara has been consulting since 2018 following many years of service to the County of Somerset.

Linda Peterson

Linda is a Professional Civil Engineer with over 40 years of field experience in soil & water conservation engineering. After a successful career with USDA-NRCS, Linda started High Plain Engineering LLC to continue helping farmers in her community in an expanded role. Linda’s expertise lies in runoff management, erosion control, and livestock waste management. Taking projects from planning through implementation, her approach to problem solving is collaborative, practical, and respectful of the environment. Knowing the federal programs and state regulations, Linda can help landowners procure grants and navigate through the regulatory process. Linda is a dedicated farmwife, living on 200 acres of prime farmland in Hunterdon County. After hours, she can be found mowing, pulling weeds, or painting something.

Nick Dunbar

Nick Dunbar is a recent Colorado transplant with his wife, a Jersey Girl and his three children Hank, Rye and Della. Nick is a veteran realtor at Turpin Realtors in New Jersey and at Homestead in Colorado. He has 17 acres in Tewksbury where he does livestock, gardens and events. Nick has a deep passion for the farming life, homesteading and the local food movement. Nick has launched several companies in this space and is excited to bring farm to table catering services to preserved farms with a turn-key operation. Thomas Lee

Thomas joined Pinto Consulting as a summer intern in 2020. Frank was really impressed with Thomas and his work ethic. Thomas has been working on projects for the team ever since while studying Business Management at the University of Pittsburgh. Residing in Montclair, NJ with his parents Tommy and Dene Lee. Tommy is part of owner of the Organic Food Incubator in Bloomfield, NJ. OFI helps small food producers to get their products packaged and launched. Dene works for the Open Space Institute and manages open space projects throughout the New Jersey/New York region. Prior to OSI, Dene worked for the Trust For Public Land.

Steve Mountain

Steve is a seasoned municipal manager with over 35 year’s service in the field of municipal government administration. Steve served both smaller and larger municipalities during his career as a professional municipal manager. The experience helped him forge a diverse skill-set and a keen understanding of what it takes to successfully direct a municipal government professionally. In addition to serving the communities in which he was manager he had the opportunity to serve on numerous local and regional boards and committees and to proudly represent his state professional association, the New Jersey Municipal Management Association as President. Now that Steve has retired, he founded his new MTN Consulting LLC where he continues to serve governmental and non-profit agencies in an advisory role. Steve works with Pinto Consulting, primarily assisting to help Duke Farms with project work. Steve’s depth of local government knowledge is a true asset for Pinto Consulting.
